BID AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Rampart is seeking a highly motivated Bid and Contract Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the security and defense industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and edit proposals for RFP responses according to company bid response procedures.
- Carefully review RFP requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Collaborate with Sales Executives, Sales Engineers, and Supply Partners to deliver competitive customer-focused solutions for our clients.
- Coordinate bid proposal teams throughout the entire life-cycle of a proposal and compile the technical and financial documents specified in the RFP.
- Report to Federal Government on contract wins for products and services.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the proposal process, structure, and format, win strategies, competitive analysis, compliance matrices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal senior management to understand and document processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Champion best practices and guidelines to ensure the consistent production of high quality, client focused proposals.
- Assist with documenting and reporting required to maintain company licenses.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a proposal delivery role for general bid response, i.e. private sector or municipal government.
- Minimum 1 year’s experience in Federal Government procurement process, i.e. RFQ's and RFP responses
- Microsoft Office 365 Proficient i.e Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint essential, Sharepoint, Onedrive, Teams asset.
- Must work in both independent and small-team environments.
- Must work well with changing and escalating deadlines.
- Must be within commutable distance of National Capital Region and be able to work in-office for minimum three days per week.
- Have the flexibility to manage demands and prioritize workload with minimum supervision.
- Being perceptive, cooperative and a quick learner are major assets.
- Must be eligible for security clearance (PSPC SECRET security cleared asset)
- Bilingual an asset ($1000 bonus provided to successful bilingual applicant upon completion of probation period)
WORK MODEL

MARKETING COORDINATOR
JOB DESCRIPTION
Are you somebody who is organized, energetic and looking for to work in an exciting environment with opportunity for career growth? Rampart is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join the marketing team, supporting our rapidly expanding Military and Law Enforcement sales program. Marketing Coordinator will be tasked with proliferating our marketing content throughout the industry, as well as overseeing and managing our tradeshow and event schedule. This job requires someone who is ambitious, a self-starter, and willing to put themselves in the middle of the action to ensure success. This position is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
In this role, you will work with the Director of Marketing, Graphics Designers and VP of Marketing, contributing to all aspects of our event, content, and digital marketing strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the team to coordinate day-to-day activities that lead to the completion of projects and tasks.
- Contribute and collaborate on ideas for campaigns and promotions for the business
- Run point managing our exciting event schedule. Manage the coordination and presentation plan for our trade show presence. No travel required.
- Play a critical hand in managing our yearly event, Rampart Range Day & Expo and Rampart Training Week.
- Managing social media presence. Bring the brand to life online to keep our customers informed of the products and categories we offer and the events we attend.
- Track and analyze data with the team. Look into performance metrics and propose ways to improve quality and distribution tactics.
- Email marketing and database management
- Collaborate with sales team to craft targeted messages to potential customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-3 years of demonstrated experience
- Post-Secondary education in Marketing or related field a plus
- Sound knowledge of social media strategy, planning and program execution
- Ability to manage a diverse workload, multi-task, meet deadlines and adapt quickly to changing deadlines/priorities
- Rigorous attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage calendars, deadlines and due dates
- Familiarity with CMS / CRM systems
- Knowledge of research tactics and methods of data analysis
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS Office, Google AdWords, and web analytics)
- French not required but is a plus

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Rampart is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the marketing team supporting our rapidly expanding Law Enforcement sales program. In this role, you will help conceptualize and design web experiences, digital advertising campaigns, print material, and more, taking requirements from concept to completion. This job requires someone who is ambitious, a self-starter, and willing to put themselves in the middle of the action to ensure success. This position is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to world-class brand representation for the products distributed by Rampart
- Contribute to the vision for look, feel and functionality on multiple projects of varying size
- Create mock-ups, design concepts quickly and independently
- Explain the rationale for your creative choices
- Collaborate and offer creative ideas alongside the VP Marketing, Director of Marketing and Digital Marketing Specialist
- Create marketing and sales support documents to send to prospective customers (one-pagers, specsheets,
- Produce brand assets (brand landing pages, social media, article design, infographics)
- Produce graphics for trade shows (banners, handout material)
- Graphics and assembly of monthly e-newsletter
- Design print assets (mini-catalog, white papers, marketing 1-pagers)
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years’ experience in graphic design
- Proven experience in digital/print assets, web design, and social media content
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
- A proven record of being able to deliver on projects
- Basic video editing
- An understanding of how to research information and apply that knowledge to design and marketing
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong writing skills
- Proven multitasking skills; creative design capabilities and working knowledge of social media optimization through applicable platforms
