CONTROLLER
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a highly motivated Controller to join our dynamic team. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven company. In this role, you will manage our accounting team and oversee all aspects of full-cycle bookkeeping, financial reporting, and compliance. RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE TEAM
- Manage an accounting team consisting of A/R, A/P and billing clerk
- Responsible for full cycle bookkeeping, including preparing monthly financial reports for the management team for multiple companies.
- Working with multiple companies located in Canada, USA and Europe which have intercompany transactions.
- Foreign currency knowledge is necessary. (Hedge experience is an asset)
- Preparation of year-end working papers for the external accountant for multiple companies.
- Semi Monthly Payroll and Monthly Government remittances, WSIB and EHT annual reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual Cash Flow projections and maintain operations within the projection.
- Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Work closely with executive team to ensure that company operation is efficient and effective
- Maintain, organize and file documents electronically
- Manage compliance for various government programs/licenses
- Assist in developing a talent acquisition plan and participate in onboarding and offboarding employees
- Administer the group health insurance plan
- Other directives as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of accounting experience, 1-2 years HR experience
- Professional designation or certificate in accounting is considered an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of all accounting practices
- Knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Desktop and Online
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications (excel, word, etc.)
- Electronic banking experience is a must. (Making payments with ACH, EFT, etc.)
- Willingness to learn new computer programs.
- Produce work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to re/prioritize and manage conflicting priorities
- High flexibility and strong interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (English and French) is considered an asset

LOCATION
- In-office position (Ottawa, Ontario), opportunity for hybrid after training and onboarding period.

SALES SUPPORT
JOB DESCRIPTION
Rampart is seeking a highly motivated Inside Sales Representative. This position is primarily responsible to acquire and maintain knowledge of product specifications, technology, and equipment function/integration in support of sales, customer service and other departments within the organization. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES WITHIN THE TEAM
- Work closely with Outside representative to support quote development, inventory review
- Negotiate lead times and costs with vendors.
- Communicate and facicilate any client specific requests for shipping to the warehouse team
- Respond to and resolve customer service issues in a timely manner.
- Notify IS manager of reoccurring CS issues so that solutions can be implemented to prevent similar issues reoccurring.
- Adding information as needed to CRM – Salesforce (ie adding products or updating pricing)
- Check for similar quotes done in the past to guide pricing build up.
- Submitting quote for approval by Inside Sales Manager (Based on individual thresholds)
- Prepare and update product specification sheets
- Notify IS manager if Regional Sales Managers are not providing sufficient information for quotes to be completed in a timely manner.
- Manage the T&E, Return & Service processes for your region.
- Maintain oversight of your customers shipments to ensure on time delivery & communication of any delays.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Up to 2-years experience in inside sales preferred in industrial or consumer products environment.
- Valuable:
- Industry knowledge
- Experience with, Salesforce, Microsoft suite and/or inventory management systems.
- Organized & strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Team Player
- Client focus with customer service orientation, but driven to hit Sales Targets
