OPERATIONS MANAGER

DESCRIPTION
The Operations Manager plays a key role in ensuring Rampart’s operational efficiency across sales support, digital reporting, warehouse management, and customer service programs. This position bridges multiple teams Sales support, Warehouse, and System driving process improvement, data accuracy, and cross-departmental coordination. The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational experience, project management capability, and comfort working with systems such as NetSuite and Salesforce to support Rampart’s continued growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day coordination between Sales and Warehouse to ensure smooth and timely order processing and fulfilment.
- Support Inside Sales teams with quoting, order tracking, and delivery visibility.
- Manage and report on operational KPIs such as order accuracy, fulfilment timelines, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and optimize procedures that improve internal communication and operational consistency.
Sample Program Management
- Oversee Rampart’s Sample Program, ensuring accurate tracking, timely returns, and accountability for all issued items. Especially those items flagged as high demand items.
- Coordinate with Sales and Warehouse teams to streamline sample requests and approvals.
- Maintain accurate reporting on program usage, outstanding samples, and costs associated with demos and evaluations.
Service Requests & Returns
- Contribute to a lean, high-functioning team that values independence, accountability, and precision.
- Collaborate with Sales, Warehouse, and Vendors to ensure proper documentation, credits, replacement, or repair of returned goods.
- Maintain accurate digital tracking and reporting for all service and return cases.
- Identify trends or recurring issues to support product improvement and customer experience initiatives.
Digital Reporting & Systems
- Develop and maintain internal reporting tools and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Monitor KPIs across Sales, Warehouse, and Customer Service operations.
- Support data integrity, workflow automation, and reporting enhancements in NetSuite (ERP) and Salesforce (CRM) systems.
- Recommend and implement digital process improvements that enhance efficiency and visibility.
Warehouse & Logistics Oversight
- Work closely with warehouse leadership to ensure accurate receiving, inventory control, and order fulfilment.
- Support warehouse optimization initiatives including space planning, process design, and system improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and product handling standards.
Project Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and coordinate cross-departmental initiatives to improve operational workflows, system integrations, and customer-facing processes.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Drive transformation and automation projects across Sales Support, Warehouse, and Reporting functions.
- Identify and implement process enhancements that reduce friction and improve efficiency across teams.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or sales support management (preferably in a distribution, defence, or technical products environment).
- Strong experience with ERP and CRM systems; NetSuite and Salesforce experience are strong assets.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other digital reporting tools.
- Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage service requests, returns, and/or product sample programs.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Experience with warehouse operations or logistics coordination is asset.
