SALES MANAGER
PERMANENT, FULL TIME
Rampart Corp. is Canada’s leading and fastest growing supplier of operational equipment to Law Enforcement, military and first responders. We are looking for a Sales Manager with experience and a proven ability to drive sales in a dynamic industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maximizing the sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to Senior Leadership.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Contribute to the design and implementation a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures strong market presence
- Contribute to the development of the annual sales budget for Senior leadership approval and administers budget to meet financial goals and objectives
- Manage recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of territory sales managers
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the Senior leadership team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
- Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
- Implements national sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-Secondary degree in business administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Strong business sense and industry expertise
- Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
- Experienced high-performing Sales Manager that successfully achieves customer acquisition and revenue growth targets
- Experience creating and delivering sales strategy, identifying probable obstacles and strategies for overcoming them.
- Can develop and provide sales territory manager success statistics including customer sales profile, sales per year, breakdown of customer base, and increase in their territory.
- Has recruited, managed, and motivated a sales team to attain sales goals.
- Proven ability to manage sales across multiple channels
- Proven ability to implement and support systems that support sales efforts
- Excellent customer relationship management skills
- Solution selling orientation
- Has accurately forecast revenue levels and established sales targets
- Proven sales and customer service orientation focused on understand needs through a “listen more talk less” style
- Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year, plus additional Bonus Pay
- Experience: Sales management (5 years, required)
- Language: English (required), French (preferred)
- Willingness to travel: 25% (preferred)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Work Location: In-person
