The Rheinmetall 1 Bang VANGUARD is a versatile sound and flash grenade designed for tactical use by military and law enforcement. It is available in three variations to meet different operational needs. The first variant offers a sound pressure level of 170 dB with a 0.5-second delay and a luminous intensity of 2.5 Mcd, while the second variant provides the same 170 dB output but with a 1.5-second delay. The third variant delivers a more intense 180 dB output at a 0.5-second delay with a higher luminous intensity of 15.5 Mcd. All versions are equipped with a fly-off lever fuze for reliable ignition and are constructed for easy deployment. Each grenade offers effective non-lethal disorientation, making them ideal for controlled tactical scenarios. Packaged securely in ammunition boxes, these grenades are classified under UN 0431, 1.4G, ensuring safe handling and transport.
