ASP INSTRUCTOR COURSE (AIC)
WHAT IS THE AIC PROGRAM?
The ASP Instructor Certification (AIC) program is a 3-day, hands-on training course designed to give officers the skills to teach and certify others in the use of ASP batons, tactical restraints, and performance flashlights. It blends classroom instruction with physical drills, focusing on real-world, court-defensible techniques that officers can retain and use under stress.
New for 2025: An Optional 4th day, for OC Instructor Certification (OCIC). This comprehensive program that covers the science of OC, body mechanics, defensive tactics, subject control and more. OCIC will be offered as both a standalone class and an add-on to the standard 3-day ASP Instructor Certification.
